Now a little bit about Triacs. The Clay Adams Becton Dickinson Triac multi-function combination centrifuge performs three different operations - blood separation, urine sedimentation and micro-hematocrits (directly read). The three different speeds provide for most clinical laboratory needs. The MHCT button has an interlock switch which prevents inadvertent operation. A lid safety switch will not allow operation unless the lid is closed. All functions run with the built-in automatic timer. This is a hot water bath made by Bausch & Lomb for the soflens contact lenses. B&L catalog number is 140306. This is referred to as the aseptor-professional unit. It is in perfect working order and can be used for its original purpose or can be adapted to any lab procedure needing a hot water bath. Three quarts of water heats up very hot. The bottom of the tank measures 14" x 7.5". The height of the tank is 3.8". The timer isn't marked but works perfectly and shuts off the heaters when it finishes its countdown. The full timer runs approximately 1 hour, 4 minutes. The overall dimensions of the unit are 21" x 11" x 6.5". Stainless steel lid included.
